Our Little Gardeners at the Allotment

Allotment We have had a very successful month at our allotment. The children have picked the produce that we have been growing over the last couple of months. We have then used this in our meals at nursery. The children took it in turns to water the new produce that is starting to grow. We were able to offer our parents some of the vegetables so that they were able to take it home with their little ones.

On the 20th of May we celebrated World Bee Day. The children explored sensory tuff trays and created some art work for our displays. The children had a special visit from our local Bee keeper.

Pancake Day

We celebrated Pancake Day by allowing the children to enjoy homemade pancakes, choosing from a range of healthy toppings. They also had fun exploring different tuff trays.

Diwali

At Brook House Nursery, we celebrated Diwali with the children. They enjoyed getting creative with various colours and materials to make their own artworks. The preschoolers watched a video to learn about Diwali and its celebrations. Our practitioners set up tuff trays for sensory exploration, enhancing the children’s learning experience.

Wear it Pink

Each year, we participate in fundraising by wearing something pink to support breast cancer awareness. This time, both the children and staff joined in with their pink outfits. We also set up some tuff trays and activities that featured the colour pink, making it a fun and meaningful experience for everyone.

Halloween

This is a delightful time of year as the children enjoy dressing up! They get creative by making handprint ghosts and carving pumpkins. At Brook House, we embrace the Halloween spirit. The children have also decorated their rooms in preparation for the upcoming Halloween party.
